Staunton on Wye Group Parish Council has adopted policies on information technology, risk management, reserves, grievance and discipline as it sets new standards for the future.
The new policies help ensure the Council runs efficiently and without risk to council tax payers.
They cut out the chance of insurance claims, employment disputes or intervention by auditors.
The policies also help ensure that public money is properly looked after, by setting standards for the way it is spent and for prudent budgeting.
Some policies are required by audit regulations – the new IT policy, and this .gov.uk domain are part of that requirement.
